Lakers Vs Nuggets 2020 Playoffs Game 4

LeBron James Sets Playoff Record in Lakers' Game 4 Victory

Lakers take 3-1 series lead after hard-fought win over Nuggets

James becomes all-time playoff leader in points, rebounds, and assists

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - LeBron James made history on Friday night, becoming the NBA's all-time playoff leader in points, rebounds, and assists as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 113-111 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

James finished the game with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, giving him 5,947 points, 2,292 rebounds, and 2,102 assists in his playoff career. He surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's previous record of 5,762 points in the second quarter and became the first player in NBA history to record at least 2,000 rebounds and 2,000 assists in the playoffs.

The Lakers took a 3-1 series lead with the victory and can clinch a berth in the NBA Finals with a win in Game 5 on Sunday night. Anthony Davis added 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Lakers, while Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 30 points and 11 rebounds.

James' performance was all the more impressive considering he was playing through a right foot injury. He aggravated the injury in Game 3 and was listed as questionable for Game 4. But he showed no ill effects on the court, leading the Lakers from start to finish.

After the game, James said he was proud of his accomplishment but that his focus was on winning a championship. "The job's not done yet," he said. "We've got to finish the job."
