The Boston Celtics took a commanding 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 61 points to lead their team to a 116-100 victory over the Golden State Warriors.
Tatum and Brown dominate for Celtics
Tatum finished with a game-high 28 points, while Brown added 23 points. The duo was a combined 18-of-35 from the field, including 6-of-13 from three-point range. They also grabbed a combined 18 rebounds.
Wiggins leads Warriors in Curry's absence
With Stephen Curry sidelined with an injury, Andrew Wiggins stepped up for the Warriors. Wiggins finished with 26 points and 13 rebounds, hitting 10-of-19 from the field. He also added 4 assists and 2 steals.
Warriors miss Curry's scoring
However, the Warriors missed Curry's scoring touch. The two-time MVP was just 7-of-22 from the field, including 2-of-9 from three-point range. He finished with just 16 points, his lowest total of the series.
Celtics one win away from title
The Celtics now need just one more win to clinch their 18th NBA championship. Game 6 will be played in Boston on Friday night.
