More Than 700000 Michigan Families To Receive Tax Rebate Checks

Governor Whitmer Unveils Budget Proposal to Lower Costs and Boost Michigan's Economy

More Than 700,000 Michigan Families to Receive Tax Rebate Checks

Budget Includes Record Investments in Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has released her fifth executive budget recommendation, which aims to lower costs, grow Michigan's economy, and build a brighter future for the state.

A key component of the budget is a tax rebate program that will provide checks averaging approximately $550 to more than 700,000 Michigan families. The rebates are intended to offset the impact of inflation and provide financial relief to working families.

The budget also includes record investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Whitmer emphasized that the budget will benefit all Michiganders without increasing taxes.

"This budget makes record investments that will benefit all Michiganders," Whitmer said in a statement. "By lowering costs, growing our economy, and building a brighter future, we can ensure that every Michigander has the opportunity to succeed."
